Have broken or old items laying around? Don’t toss them just yet….♻️ This idea is a great way to repurpose old parts off of furniture or other items.
A friend of mine is making a 3 tiered bird feeder. The majority of this is all repurposed items using:
- Broken chair 🪑
- Bed posts 🛏️
- Wood from pallets 🪵
- Aluminum beer can
- Telephone pole
The roof of the bird feeder is made from a telephone pole with the very top of it, the peak, is capped off with the beer can. He cut the beer can into pieces to fit the peak.

The long blue/black/red posts are from the bed posts. They are 6 ft. Long.
The natural wood posts are from a chair.

The rest of the wood you see in the picture came from a pallet.
When we think of repurposing, our minds automatically go to what we have around the house or something that just broke you can take pieces off of to repurpose or things like teacups, planters and picture frames. Some do not think of using that broken telephone pole you saw down the road or combining the bed posts and chair parts. Maybe even the beer can you just threw in the recycling bin.

When this bird feeder is finished I’ll be posting an updated picture to share with you all.
Till next time ~
