Work Smart

When you want the party to keep going…

My daughter graduated high school this year. For her party, I knew people would stay late, especially her friends. So I wanted something to light up the tables without using electricity.

I saw on Pinterest where someone used stemless wine glasses, put glass nuggets in it and the top of a solar pathway light. The solar tops I had were too small for a wine glass so I opted for mason jars.

I used the tops without the posts.

It turned out great!

Supplies needed:

* Solar lights- remove posts

* Glass/plastic nuggets/gems from the dollar store. ** I used her school colors.

* Mason jar (clear) or stemless wine glass.

Step 1:

Remove the post from the solar light. You only want the top part, the lightbulb itself & the solar panel on top.

Step 2:

Pour glass/plastic nuggets in the jar about half way full.

Step 3:

Place solar light in the opening of the jar. You want the solar panel on top so it can catch the sun.

You may need to shake the jar a little to move the nuggets around to make room for the light.

Step 4:

Place on tables and enjoy!

The light shines through the gems creating a beautiful illumination!

Till next time ~
