Uses for plastic lids

The overflowing cabinet of Tupperware. I can’t deny it and I’m sure most of us have this issue. You find bottom containers without the lids or lids without the bottoms. It does get frustrating. Most plastic lids are made from food grade, BPA free material.

Today , I give you 13 ways you can reuse those mateless lids.

1. If you’re a knitter or crocheter, cut a small x in the middle of the lid. Put the tail of your yarn through the x before you start a project and it will keep the yarn from tangling.

2. You can use the lid as a palette when painting.

3. Use a lid as trays to hold crafts in while doing a project. (Buttons, beads, glitter, etc)

4. Use as a stencil.

5. You can use them as coasters.

6. Place a plastic lid under container plants to catch the access water.

7. Cut a small slit in the middle of the lid and you can use put a paint brush handle through it. It will catch the drips of paint. OR slide it over a popsicle stick to catch the drips so your kids hands don’t get sticky .

8. If you like to repurpose things, collect plastic lids and melt them. You can make a tray, trivets, toys, a lot of possibilities

9. Use a lid as a canvas and have your kids paint pictures on them.

10. Use as a spoon rest while cooking.

11. Use to cover your mug in the microwave to prevent splatters.

12. Cut up and use as plant markers for your garden.

13. Parmesan cheese lids fit onto mason/ball jars. You can use it to store crafts in.

Till next time,
