Apple cake in a mug

Have a sweet tooth but you don’t want to make a big desert? Like making a big cake just to eat 1 slice.

Then this recipe is for you!

Apple cake in a mug is the perfect amount of baked yumminess for 1 person.

Supplies needed:

All purpose flour – 4 Tablespoons

Sugar – 2 Tablespoons

Baking Powder 1/4 teaspoon

Ground cinnamon – 1/2 teaspoon

Nutmeg – a pinch

Salt – a pinch

Vegetable oil – 1 Tablespoon

Vanilla extract – 1/4 teaspoon

Apples – 1/4 cup, diced

Milk – 3 Tablespoons

Mug – a wide 12 oz mug.

In your mug, combine the dry ingredients- flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Step 1:

Mix together with a fork or small whisk.

Step 2:

Add the wet ingredients into the mug. Milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract.

Mix together with the dry ingredients.

Mix enough to combine all the ingredients together. Do not over mix. It will cause the cake dough to get rubbery .

Step 3:

Now add the diced apples. Mix them into the batter in the mug.

Put the mug in your microwave and cook for 1:30 – 2:00 minutes.

Check to see if it’s done by poking it with a toothpick. If it’s not cooked all the way then put it back in the microwave and cook in 10 second intervals until done.

Let the mug cool off and enjoy!

Till next time,

~ Mel
