Work Smart

A teaspoon of this and my pain was gone

A few days ago I did a post on Magnesium oil. If you have not read it, you can read about it here-

๐Ÿ‘‡

A few weeks back I came across an article about Magnesium cream. This lady went on about how much it helped her sore muscles, her muscle cramps went away and no more headaches. I thought, ok what is she trying to sell? She really wasnโ€™t trying to sell anything. Her article was about how she makes her own magnesium cream. Instead of taking Magnesium in pill form, she applies this topically. I thought to myself, what do I have to lose? Right?

My doctor always has me taking Magnesium. Honestly, half the time I donโ€™t because Iโ€™m on so many other vitamins and prescriptions. This cream though? It really is a life saver.

Trial #1:

I started with using the magnesium oil and spraying it on my legs at night before bed. Side note- I have restless legs & Fibromyalgia. I was able to sleep all night. My legs werenโ€™t annoying me, my legs were not in as much pain as they normally were in the mornings. So then I started with the cream. Same thing but better! Itโ€™s like a magical cream! Sounds funny but donโ€™t knock it till you try it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Trial #2:

I made some of this magnesium cream for my mother in law. She has Neuropathy and problems with her shoulder. So she canโ€™t raise her arm very far above her shoulder, canโ€™t lift things very well. I asked her to try it.

That was this past Sunday. She was over Friday for my birthday and told me how sheโ€™s been using the cream. She said she puts it on her shoulder and said โ€œlookโ€. She can raise her arm above her head! Iโ€™m so happy for her!

Trial #3 will be giving it to my mom for her neuropathy and crossing my fingers my dad will also use it for his shoulder. ๐Ÿคž

DIY Magnesium Cream

Ingredients and supplies needed

Bowl

Spoon or something to mix with

8 Tablespoons Shea butter (bought mine on Amazon)

1/4 cup Magnesium oil – see link above to make your own or you can buy it online at Amazon .

3 Tablespoons of Coconut oil

2 Tablespoons of Grapeseed oil (Amazon)

Mix master or hand mixer

*The cream I made is yellow because I used โ€œAfrican shea butterโ€, which is yellow in color. The regular Shea butter is white.

Step 1:

You can either do this in a pot on the stove OR in the microwave. Hi

For the microwave-

Melt the Shea butter and coconut oil in the microwave. I put it in for 1 minute stopping every 15 seconds to check it and stir.

For the stove-

Add the shea butter and coconut oil in the pot on low. Mixing until it liquifies.

Once melted, it should look like pancake batter almost. Not completely liquid but not chunky either. Take it out and let it cool off.

Step 2:

Once the mixture is cool, add in the grapeseed oil and magnesium oil. Mix well.

Place the bowl in the fridge until it hardens.

I kept it in the fridge overnight. Took it out in the morning and let it soften just enough to use my mix master.

Step 3:

Once the mixture is soft enough, mix it with a mixer. Mix it until itโ€™s a creamy, buttery consistency.

Put it in a jar. Keep in fridge and take out when youโ€™re ready to use. When it warms up it starts to liquify. If that happens, just put it back in the fridge and itโ€™ll get the creamy consistency again.

Good to know info!

*Magnesium cream- by applying it topically, it bypasses the digestive system, ensuring higher absorption.

*Magnesium relieves sore muscles, cramps, and tension, and it can promote relaxation and better sleep.

  • Improves sleep quality
  • Relieves muscle cramps
  • Relieves headaches
  • Supports brain health
  • Helps with Neuropathy
  • Helps with Fibromyalgia
  • Helps lower blood pressure
  • Helps restless legs
  • Relieves pain
  • Helps heart health , improves energy & much much more.

You can read more benefits about magnesium in the link above on DIY Magnesium oil or you can find plenty of information online.

I am by no means a doctor or trying to promote any sales. I found something that works for me and would like to share it with you guys.

Hope this will help some of you as it did myself and my mother in law.
