Who loves a good french toast!

Good morning! I know Iโ€™ve talked before about my eldest daughter with Cerebral Palsy. I try to make her to be as independent as possible. She cannot use the stove whatsoever. I find a lot of homemade meals you can make in a mug right in the microwave.

Todayโ€™s breakfast is french toast in a mug. I personally canโ€™t seem to make French toast the regular way over the stove without the bread falling apart, but my daughter makes a delicious one in a mug!

Ingredients & supplies:

1 piece of bread

1 egg

1/4 cup of milk

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Pinch of salt

A splatter of syrup

Mug

Fork to stir with

Washcloth for the sticky mess

Step 1:

Butter both sides of your bread. Then cut up into bite size pieces.

Step 2:

Put your ingredients into the mug-

1/4 cup of milk, salt, cinnamon, a egg & syrup. The syrup I just put in a little. I did not measure.

Personally I am not a syrup person when it comes to pancakes & French toast. I never have been. BUT, in this recipe it gives it such a good flavor mixed in with the cinnamon! I love it.

The cinnamon & syrup are optional.

Step 3:

Mix the ingredients with the fork making sure the egg is thoroughly combined.

Now you can add the pieces of bread. Take your fork and lightly push down on the pieces making sure they are submerged into the milk mixture.

Place it in the microwave for 2:00 minutes. Stopping the microwave every 30 seconds. I know all microwaves are different, if you need more time just put it back in for 30 second intervals till done.

I have my daughter stop it at every 30 seconds, counts to 10 , then starts it again.

Done! Enjoy!!
