Work Smart

Want a quick & easy breakfast?

Good morning to everyone. Want a quick breakfast and not sure where to start? I find these really simple and easy recipes to cook in a mug. They are perfect for my eldest!

This mornings breakfast was pancake in a mug. I’m sure you’ll love this!

1-3 minutes to make

90 seconds to cook

Ingredients:

** you may substitute items to your liking. If you don’t use almond milk then use regular milk.

Step 1-

In a mug , combine the dry ingredients. Flour, sugar and baking powder.

Mix well.

Step 2-

Add the liquid ingredients. Almond milk, vanilla extract and vegetable oil.

Mix until all ingredients are mixed together and there are no clumps.

Microwave for 90 seconds. You can now add on anything you like to put on your pancakes. Maple syrup, butter, powdered sugar, berries. A lot of choices. That’s it!! Enjoy! 😊

  1. This is how we kinda do the mug cakes. Throwing together a batch of pancakes is fairly easy enough and i usually make them ahead of time and then keep them in either the fridge or freezer to reheat later. I do the same with waffles.

      1. Our microwave is pretty much just used to reheat coffee and as a kitchen timer lol we only have one cause it came with the camper

      2. We over use our microwave. It’s not good to cook food in, loses nutrients. My eldest daughter has cerebral palsy and she can’t make full meals by herself but something as simple as food in a mug works great for her.

      1. I made it and am eating it right now—it’s delicious! I used 1% milk and poured in some maple syrup, but next time, I’m adding some fruit. Thank you for sharing this! I’m definitely adding it to my breakfast rotation.
