Work Smart

Homemade Powder Sugar

We never know how easy something is to do until you go to do it. That’s me for stuff like this. You’d really think there’s a lot more to making stuff like powder sugar.

I’m my house we use powdered sugar a lot. This comes in handy for my home. My daughter could eat pancakes and powder sugar donuts every meal if you let her.

Supplies:

Measuring cup

Teaspoon

Sugar

Spoon

Paper towels in case of mess.

Blender or food processor

Step 1:

Mix together 1 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch. Then add to your blender or food processor. Turn on and let it do it’s thing until the sugar becomes powdery. Should take anywhere from 1-5 minutes at most depending on what setting you put the blender on.

* Adding cornstarch to sugar not only prevents the sugar from caking, cornstarch also makes liquid more thicker being able to make glazes.

Happy baking!!
