Family traditions

Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.

I’m going to be honest here, we have answered this question a couple months ago. So I was not going to do todays prompt. I changed my mind cause it would break my record of doing these every day.

I do have a couple new posts of things I’ve been working on I’ll be sharing this weekend.

Back to this…. Family Traditions

There are only a couple things we still do. I am unsure of what other families do for holidays.

1. We still give our kids Easter baskets even though they are older. I keep the tradition

2. We do celebrate Lent.

3. We got off the pattern of St. Nicks Day (a Christian Saint holiday). We do however give our kids their stockings on Christmas Day. I know some families that don’t do stockings.

  1. It’s great to hear that you’re keeping up with your daily blogging commitment, and it’s interesting to revisit topics like family traditions with fresh insights. Maintaining the Easter basket tradition for your kids, despite them being older, is a sweet way of keeping the magic alive. It shows a dedication to family joy and togetherness. Celebrating Lent and adjusting how you observe St. Nick’s Day to fit your family’s evolving dynamic are wonderful examples of how traditions can be both steadfast and flexible.

Do you find that these traditions bring your family closer together, especially as your kids grow older? It’s always fascinating to see how family practices evolve over time while still maintaining their core essence. Looking forward to hearing about the new things you’ve been working on! Keep up the great work with your blog. 🌷🎄✨

  2. The repetition of the prompts is more than a bit annoying, agreed. The ones I don’t like or are on repeat I just do whatever I want to with lol

  3. Nice post. We celebrated Saint Nicholas Day once when we were in Belgium and it was very special. It’s great that you are keeping family traditions.

    1. Growing up, we celebrated St. Nicks Day every year. Religiously. Now I tend to forget the date every year 🤦🏻‍♀️. So we do it on Christmas Day.
