Feeling loved

Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

For me, it’s the little things. My kids thanking me for a good dinner, my daughter telling me she appreciates me driving her around, my mom telling me she liked my post or a project I made.

We’ve been in this house for about 2-3 years now. There’s a back room in the basement where I work on my fused and stain glass. I need an outlet back there so if I want to do something that requires an outlet like soldering, I have to go to another spot. My husband finally put the shelves & cabinets up down there so I can start organizing & putting my glass stuff away instead of working out of bins & boxes. This meant a lot to me. It really was an all day affair, mainly because it’s concrete walls and a small space. But him spending his day off doing that made me feel loved & appreciated. He didn’t have to. He could of sat and watched sports on tv or gone to his parents house.

Sounds silly but it really is the little things.

  2. Last week my husband, leaned in and asked me if I wanted to go on a trip to Kenya that we were hearing about being planned. He asked as if he was all in for making it happen for me. It’s a longer story than this, but in that moment, I felt very loved and thoughtfully cared about.
