Road trips – the best

Think back on your most memorable road trip.

I love road trips. When we go on vacations I actually prefer to drive vs taking a airplane. For starters, the airport by us are not nice people. The 5 of us flew to Vegas awhile back. My oldest daughter is in a wheelchair. Long story short they treated her like a criminal. The made us take off her leg braces, took her wheelchair apart. They Wiped different sections of her chair & leg braces with something to check for drugs. I have never been more mad in my life. Since then…. We drive.

Sorry for side tracking. One of my favorite road trips was driving down south to see my parents.

It was a great trip. Stopped overnight in Tennessee, stopped in Georgia. Of course visited Bucky’s store . On the way home we stopped in Metropolis, IL., we had to see the big Superman and store/museum.

It was a great trip! Relaxed, had fun. We weren’t rushed. Looking forward to this years trip down South. ❤️😊

Sorry your daughter had to go through that. We’ve not attempted going on a flight with my daughter and her wheels yet…

    1. Thanks, not your fault. I won’t do that again though. A horrible experience I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

    2. Other than that they treated her good on the plane. They had to seat her in a different section so we couldn’t be by her but we kept going up there to check on her.

  4. Airports are a pain in the ass and usually dread them.

  5. That is totally lousy what they did to your daughter. Sorry to hear. The sad part is one doesn’t know if it was a power trip by security, or has some scumbag actually stopped that low to carry something elicit/illegal on board. Probably a touch of both. Either scenario completely sucks and good people have to suffer for it.

I just learned about that Superman museum recently, looks very cool!

    1. I think it was both. The LA airport people were extremely nice! Quite the opposite of Chicago.
I recommend going. It was really neat! There’s a cute diner by it too with great food! They have a statue of the big boy guy holding a burger.

      1. More than likely, yes. Sucks that things have to be that way.
I used to work at a Big Boy restaurant way, way back in the day. LOL

      3. I enjoyed it for the most part yes. I’ve always liked cooking, so it was fun for me. Once I became a supervisor it wasn’t so much. Much like retail, one unreasonable person can really ruin your day. lol
