Work Smart

Being happy

When are you most happy?

Working on certain projects…. Like resin , stained glass, digital work.

For myself, the question really is what makes me happiest the most?

Spending time with my kids.

Going for walks

Doing yoga

Meditating

Working in the garden

Getting to see my family, especially the ones who live far away.

Then there’s those little things. The things that don’t mean much to some people; such as. Helping others… paying it forward, holding the door for someone, Reaching out with a smile.

I have a tattoo on my back that says: Enjoy the little things in life. So I do just that.

won’t be there.

  1. “Holding the door for someone”, I really like that. I do it all the time.

Some years ago I held the door for a female working colleague and she laughed about it, saying “Nobody does this anymore”.

To which I replied “I hold the door for everyone, it’s how I was raised and I’ll continue to do so”.

Nowadays sadly most people don’t hold the door anymore. I still see it as a form of respect and showing good manners.

    1. Not a lot of people do. I’ve had people in front of me just go in and not hold the door so by the time I’m at the door it literally shuts in my face. I think it’s a common manner in my opinion.

      1. That’s annoying. People should be considerate, but in the end you can’t educate people. Have a great day and merry Xmas
