What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“Forget about them”

When I was young and whenever a friend upset me or a friend and I argued, my dad always said “forget about them”, “you don’t need them”. If someone’s going to hurt you (emotionally) or do you wrong, then they don’t deserve a place in your life.

So he’d say “forget about them, you don’t need them. Every one you need, is right here (meaning family). “. And he’s right. The hardest part is getting over what someone did to hurt you.
