Hi everyone! Happy Friday. I hope your week has been productive. Recently, I was looking up Gluten & Rice online. I know, weird. Anyways, I came across a ladies blog about using rice as an air freshener. That intrigued me to say the least. So, I tried it. What do I have to loose besides a bit of rice right?
Here we go-
Supplies needed:
- 1/2 – 1 cup of uncooked rice
- essential oil ( I used Rose )
- something to stir with
- bowl or container
Super easy, inexpensive and simple. I tend to save certain things. Like air freshener containers from the dollar store. Most everyone has rice at home. The dollar store, walmart, and hobby lobby have inexpensive essential oils.
Step 1-
Pour about 1/2 cup to 1 cup of uncooked rice in a container or bowl. Add approximately 6-8 drops of essential oil. Mix well.
That’s it!! All you have left to do is put it in an area of your choice. I put one in my daughters room by the door. So when people go upstairs it smells good. I put another one in the mudroom where the litter box is. I can tell you…. it no longer smells like a stinky cat litter box!
So far this is one of the best air fresheners I have done. Next to the Sage Spray I make.
Try it for yourself & let me know your thoughts. 🙂
