Hi everyone. Every so often I read or see a use for WD-40. Like yesterday for example, I got silicone caulk stuck all all over a rubber mold. It wouldn’t come off without me having to scrap at it. Then my son read to spray it with WD-40 and let it soak in it for a few minutes. So we did…. it worked like a charm! Close to almost nothing on it. I’ve made a list of uses for WD-40.
- Removing Crayon marks from the wall. Spray WD-40 over the crayon marks, let it sit for a few minutes then wipe off with a damp rag.
- Polish’s silver. If you have silver or metal decor around the house, spray the Wd-40 on it and polish with a rag.
- Have a lawn mower that jams with grass all the time? Spray the underside with WD-40 before & after you mow. It won’t keep getting jammed.
- Squirrel’s getting to the hanging bird feeders? Spray the pole with WD-40 and polish it with a rag. It will make the pole slippery so the squirrels can’t climb up it.
- Got candle wax or glue on your carpet? Spray the area with WD-40, let it soak in for about 5 minutes and then wipe with a damp rag.
- Sticky residue on your scissors or shoes? Or even sticky residue from a bumper sticker on your car? Spray with WD-40, let it soak in for a few minutes and wipe off with a damp rag.
- Mildew & fungus in the underlying parts of the refrigerator drawers? Spray with the WD-40 and a wet rag. It will remove all the grossness and it also prevents it from returning.
- Removes Tar off of your car. Spray it on where the tar is, let it soak in for awhile and then wipe clean. It may take a couple times but it will remove the tar. Clean with soap and water when you are done.
- You can use WD-40 to loosen the track of the screen door.
- Squeaky doors? Spray the hinges with WD-40.
- Stuck zipper? Spray with WD-40 to unstick it.
- Vinyl Records keep Skipping on the record player? Clean the vinyl record with WD-40. It will keep it from skipping.
- Old gardening tools? Gently sand the wooden handle and then spray WD-40 on the handle and wipe it down. It will keep you from getting splinters.
- WD-40 keeps leather from cracking. I’d try this in a hidden area first.
- Drinking glasses stuck together? Spray WD-40 between the glasses, let it sit for a few minutes and then gently pull apart. Clean with soap & water when done.
- Spray WD-40 on the grill of your car to keep bugs from sticking to it when your on a road trip.
- WD-40 kills certain weeds. Like Thistle for example. Spray the weed with WD-40 and it will kill the weed & you’ll have a good chance at them not returning.
- Removes rust. Have something with rust on it? Salvage it by cleaning it with WD-40. It will remove the rust!
- Paper shredder not shredding the paper? Keeps getting jammed? Spray the shredder blades with WD-40. It will help the blades from jamming.
- Pocket knife won’t open? Lubricate it with WD-40. Spray the blade area, let it sit for a few seconds. Open & wipe clean.
- Bolts that are stuck? Spray it with WD-40. It will loosen the bolt.
