I thought this project was a neat idea. Kids or adults looking for something to do over the summer. The birds will thank you!
A neat little project that doesn’t take a lot of time, plus your up cycling!

Supplies needed:
Twine
Tin can -with lid detached
Hot glue gun & glue
Scissors
Bird feed
A metal piece or even a popsicle stick to use a a perch for the birds
Step 1:
Starting at one end, you are going to put a little hot glue down on the tin can and start wrapping the twine. Repeating all the way around till you get to the other end. Putting hot glue down as you go.

Step 2:
Once you have the can wrapped in twine, you are going to take the metal lid to the can and fold it in half. Then hot glue it (sharp edge down) to the opening of the can.
I happened to have a broken end of silverware so I hot glued that down first, then hot glued the folded lid on top of that. Now the birds have a perch.

Excuse my messy hot glue. If you’d zoom in, you’ll see the folded tin lid hot glued onto the metal perch and the opening of the can.
Step 3:
For this step, you can cut a decent size length of twine and hot glue an end in each side of the can so the bird feeder has something to hang from. I did two handles.

That’s it! A simple easy project anyone can do. Where we live there are a ton of birds! There’s never enough bird feeders.
