Communication via media

In what ways do you communicate online?

In all honesty I don’t like communicating with someone via social media. I’d rather pick up the phone and call or text. However there are people we aren’t very close to or our online friends that we do talk with them online.

Facebook for example, I go on there to wish people a happy birthday. Whether it be old friends , coworkers, ex coworkers , Aunts & uncles, the dog trainer. Not only that but seeing what people in our lives are up to or the last eat funny meme that shows up. As well as Market Place. My favorite, I communicate with buying & selling.

Instagram– When my sisters go on vacation I get to see their pictures. Or even the newest thing they are doing like date night or out with their kids. I do get messages from people on there. I communicate that way as well.

Pinterest/Pinterest business accts – Show my projects off, my blog, DIY’s & How-to’s. I find ideas and ask questions to other bloggers.

WordPress/Jetpack – Posts & prompts, comments whether it be commenting on others posts or them on mine. Showing off the latest projects as well.

Instant messaging– groups I’m in via Facebook chat on there. Talk with family, friends & people from MarketPlace.

What’s App – talk with friends international friends. A friend of mine goes to Mexico 6 months out of the year.

For myself that is it in relation to social media. There’s of course your cell phone & texting as well that’s not social media though. There are certain apps I’m not fond of like snap chat. I have Tic Tok but I don’t communicate that way.

I think we have way too much already. I like my Aunts idea of communicating with family via a letter once a year. The old fashion way.

  2. Impressive. You certainly had a better and far more serious grasp of the intended question than I had!

  3. Social media as a way to communicate is overwhelming sometimes. A lot of time it is just one way communication and sometimes that is just right.
