Do you ever have those days where have a hard time staying motivated? There are many times where I can not stay motivated if my life depended on it. Setting our goals- whether it’s losing or gaining weight, Going on a new diet plan like Gluten free. Or even a goal to save money for a vacation. Setting the goals aren’t the hard part. The hard part is following through with those goals. Sometimes we just don’t want to do the work it takes to achieve such goal.
We all have times in our lives where we lose our motivation. Myself personally, I have quite a few goals. One for example is walking 15 miles per month. It is hard to motivate yourself to get out and walk every day. So I decided to walk every other day. The days I don’t I use the elliptical or the exercise bike. I’d like to share a few ways to help keep you motivated.

- Make working toward your goal a habit. The repetitiveness of doing something.
- Start with small goals. Keep working for the big goal, make it a habit.
- Keep track of your progress. Start a journal, either in a notebook or on your computer. You will see how well you are doing or what you need to work on.
- Reward yourself when you made your goals/progress. It helps to keep you working harder. ( take a break, have your favorite snack, go out with your friends, or take a long relaxing bath)
I set my goals at the beginning of the week, it helps me to keep staying motivated longer. I’ve always been a positive thinker, but I have to remind myself that I am only human. Sometimes I may not meet my goal, and that’s ok. When I do have those times I do things to try to get myself motivated. Like sitting outside and playing with my cat, or listen to one of my favorite podcasts.
I hope this has helped some of you. What motivates you? I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to email me your responses.
